LETTER FROM THE PUBLISHER by Scott
Bilker
Hello,
My mortgage refinance has actually
gone through! I don’t believe things until they happen, and it did
happen, 4.75% for 15 years, no closing costs--not one cent! True
savings of $38,053.00 from my current mortgage!
It’s always a good time to shop for
better rates. Check your current mortgage rate then check your
options. Go to your local bank, look online, and save money!
Regards, Scott
Regards, Scott PS: If you have the

green sidebar on page 208 with tips from my latest book, “Talk
Your Way Out of Credit Card Debt.”

DEBTSMART HELP CENTER
By Scott Bilker
Helping you with your debt is very
important to me personally! If you've been reading my articles, you
know that I always encourage self-help as a first step. However,
being buried in debt can be very overwhelming, which is why you may
want to explore other options.
One of those options is professional,
ongoing help with credit counselors. I've started to personally
check out certain companies so I can recommend the ones that are
worth considering!
If you would like to speak with a
representative from a...

DROWNING IN DEBT
by Scott Bilker
Dear Scott, I am drowning in debt. I
am attempting to figure out a budget that is livable. WE have a
daughter going to college next fall, a grown son that has moved back
home and a son who has moved out but we cosigned for his truck
payment so we are stuck with that. I was tempted to order your book
but I have gotten so many debt books but nothing that will help me.
I looked at our credit card debt which is more than I make in a
year. I work but had a second job that is not working out. My
husband works full-time. We just need help in figuring out what to
do. Thanks for at least listening. --Jeanie

A PENNY PAID IS MORE THAN A PENNY
EARNED
by Scott Bilker
How much is a penny really worth?
When it comes to repaying debt it is certainly true that every penny
counts! Say you have a $100,000 mortgage at 7% for 30 years. The
monthly payment is $665.30. How much money would you save by adding
just one cent to your monthly payment?

ORGANIZE YOUR CHILDREN AND SAVE YOUR
SANITY
by Gregory Thomas
It may be difficult to relate saving
money with organization but the two terms really go hand in hand. If
you are able to organize right down to the smallest detail, then not
only will you save yourself countless panic headaches, but you will
have more time on your hands allowing yourself to be more productive
and get more accomplished. Organizing your own personal belongings
can be...

AFFORDING A FIRST HOME
by Gary Foreman
Gary, Can you help me? My husband and
I would like to buy our own home to live in. How do we know if we
can afford one or not? Thanks, --Donna
Donna's smart! It's always better to
find out if you can afford something before you begin seriously
shopping. And with low mortgage rates and home prices going up, many
people are wondering if they should buy their first home now.
So how does Donna determine if they
can afford to buy? Answers to a couple of questions can help them
decide. First, do they have enough savings to get into a home?
Second, can they afford the regular, ongoing monthly expenses.
Let's begin with the first question.
How much would it take for them to get into a home? Affording a home
means...
