COOL QUOTE
Talking about debt
collectors..."One guy called me everyday last week. I said,
'Look, every month I put everyone I owe into a hat, I pick three
names, I pay those people. And if you call me one more time I'm
taking you out of the hat.' They all want to be in the hat."

LETTER FROM THE PUBLISHER
by Scott Bilker
Hi,
Did you hear the Federal Reserve
report that consumer credit rose? Oh, yeah. Revolving loans, which
include credit cards, went up by 5.3% or $3.17 billion in May!
This is due to lower borrowing rates
plus positive consumer spending attitude. Experts are saying that
the economy is still not doing well but keep in mind that there is a
difference between "the economy" and "your
economy."
"The economy" is what you
hear about on television, i.e., unemployment, stock market, real
estate, etc. I don't have to tell you about "your economy"
except to say that it's all that matters.
Don't worry so much about the big
picture; focus on your world.
Regards, Scott PS: Please let me know
what you think of my latest article in "Woman's World" if
you happen to have read the 7/15/03 issue.

BOOK REVIEW
By Harold McFarland, Editor, "Readers Preference Reviews"
"Talk Your Way Out of Credit
Card Debt provides solid advice on getting your rate reduced, annual
fees waived, removing a late payment fee, handling disputes, and
many other common problems when dealing with credit card companies.
More than just advice, it is a collection of detailed examples of
phone calls including complete transcripts. Each transcript
demonstrates how the author handled a particular issue and the
results of the call. Not content to just give one example of getting
an interest rate lowered or removing over limit fees, each type of
problem has several transcripts so you can get a good feel for what
to expect and how to handle it. Most people are not aware of how
much power they have when dealing with a credit card company and how
to get things changed. This book walks the reader through the
process from beginning to end and is a recommended read for anyone
looking to gain control of his or her credit card situation.

10 FINANCIAL QUESTIONS TO ASK
YOURSELF TODAY!
by Scott Bilker
To quote the very well know
motivational speaker, Anthony Robbins, "Questions are the
answer." What exactly does he mean? Tony believes, as do I,
that you have the ability to find the answer to any question. They
key is to ask the right questions.
If you're constantly asking yourself,
"Why was I so stupid to get into debt?" Then your brain is
going to give you answer like, "Because you're a loser."
The thing to remember is that your
brain will keep working on your question subconsciously until you
get an answer. We've all had the experience...

THE TOP 10 DESTRUCTIVE MONEY BELIEFS
(and How to Overcome Them)
by Dan Klatt
If you're not making as much money as
you'd like, then you're holding onto some negative beliefs about
yourself and how much money you're capable of handling.
In this article we'll go through 10
of the most common (and most limiting) examples of how people hold
themselves back financially.
Subscribers to my ezine, "The
Abundant Mind," get a Money Beliefs Quiz. From their results
I've compiled these Top 10 Destructive Money Beliefs. How many can
you relate to?
10. "Money is not
spiritual."
Here's the belief that you're somehow
more spiritual or more likely to have a better afterlife if you
sacrifice greatly this time around. Or that you'll suffer after you
die if you pursue the things you want, which you need money to buy.
This belief is most often...

DEBTSMART HELP CENTER
By Scott Bilker
Helping you with your debt is very
important to me personally! If you've been reading my articles, you
know that I always encourage self-help as a first step. However,
being buried in debt can be very overwhelming, which is why you may
want to explore other options.
One of those options is professional,
ongoing help with credit counselors. I've started to personally
check out certain companies so I can recommend the ones that are
worth considering!
If you would like to speak with a
representative from a...

TOP TEN WAYS TO DEAL WITH
OVERWHELM
by Michael Angier
Lately, many of the people I've been
talking with or coaching have been complaining about being
overwhelmed. I have to admit that I've been wrestling with it too.
My ideas and my commitments seem to
far outpace my time and energy. So here's my advice to you--and to
myself--for dealing with overwhelm.
1. Recognize that overwhelm isn't
real. It's not something that attacks us. It's a feeling we
experience based upon a belief there's too much to do and too little
time to do it. It's fear- plain and simple. And once we recognize...
