has the time flown? Think for a moment about last year and your
finances.
What are your regrets for the past 12
months? What would you have done differently? What would you have
not purchased that you did? Why? How much do you wish you had saved?
What debt do you wish you had paid off that you didn't?
The small financial decisions we make
every day can have a huge impact on our circumstances a month from
now, six months from now or even 1 year from now.
If you determine some financial goals
for yourself for the coming year, consider creating a plan on how
you will get there.
If you want to pay off a credit card
in 2002 that has a balance of $1,200, budget $100 a month right now
plus interest for the next 12 months. If you don't have that much
money available, it's time to get creative.
I don't want to hear excuses or I
cant's. If that is what you tell your brain, then that is what will
happen. Tell yourself you can meet your objectives and you'll open
up the channels in your mind to do just that.
Maybe cable TV will have to go for
the 12 months. Maybe you'll have to get a part-time job for 12
months. Maybe you'll have to eat at home for most of the next 12
months.
Whatever it is you need to do, do it!
When that debt is paid off, you will be rewarded with the greatest
feeling of freedom that you could imagine.
You will be inspired to meet your
next financial challenge and enjoy the success of your journey
towards financial freedom.
Plan to succeed. Those who don't
plan, plan to fail.
I don't want that to be you.
