Unwanted Names on a Mortgage
by Scott Bilker
I am currently divorced and took possession of our home of which I am in the beginning stages of foreclosure. Even though his name has been removed from the deed, it still remains on the mortgage. Could I file bankruptcy with his name on the loan? If not , what other alternatives do I have to save my home for my children and myself?
Effects of debt on obtaining a mortgage
by Scott Bilker
I was wondering about what sorts of ramifications my credit will have on my obtaining a mortgage in the future? Here is the situation, while in college I got myself into credit card debt (about $6,000). After college I married a debt-free man (no student loans, one credit card great investments). Over the last 1 1/2 years we have paid my debt down considerably (currently I owe about $2,000, each card is at about $500). One of them was charged off the other 3 were closed by the credit issuer.
Adjustable Mortgage

We have a adjustable rate on our mortgage. How do they decide if the rate goes up or down. How is it calculated and when?
Lower the Interest Rate
by Scott Bilker
I currently owe close to $5,000 on the card, thanks to having needed home repairs and a child in college, and have had an interest rate reduction from 21.9% to 18.9%. My minimum payment is $117.00 but I pay $150.00 each month. I tried to get them to lower the rate even more but they refused, saying that they couldn't. I've applied for even lower-rated cards but because the bankruptcy is still on my credit report I've had no luck. Any suggestions...
Payment Order

Should I repay the highest interest card off first, or should I repay the lowest interest card off first and transfer the balance from the higher interest card?
Lower Rate Card

In the past I have had some late payments on bills. Is there any hope that someone will give me a lower interest rate on my credit cards. HELP!!!!!
